Sometimes you just need a little extra money to get your finances going in a positive direction. While you can cut back on your expenses, you can only cut so much until you can’t cut anymore. However the potential to earn money is only limited by your time and effort.
Do you need a quick win? A couple extra hundred bucks earned in your free time? One of the easiest ways to make money online is by filling out surveys.
Companies will pay you for your opinion. And while you won’t get rich filling out online surveys, you can do it from a computer anywhere in the world, on your schedule.
When I was going through the process of signing up for each of these survey sites to verify all of the information, I was watching one of my favorite TV shows at the same time.
How much can you expect to make?
Each survey company has different types of surveys of different lengths. You’ll have to sign up with each of them to see what they offer.
How much you earn also depends on how much time you put into it.
How long will it take to fill out a survey?
The length of surveys also varies from company to company and survey to survey. Some surveys might take five minutes, others might take forty minutes. Longer surveys generally will earn you more money.

3 Tips for Success
1. Stick With Legitimate Survey Companies
On Scott’s show, he sometimes gets asked if an email or offer a listener has received is legitimate or a scam. All of the survey sites recommended below are free to sign up for and participate in.
Here are some guidelines to follow:
Are they asking you for money? If you ever come across a survey company asking you for money or personal information like your social security number – do not sign up. They are most likely a scam.
Legitimate companies are looking to build a relationship with you and are free. The moment you get asked to buy a membership from a survey website it’s time to move on.
Does it seem too good to be true? If the offer seems too good to be true – $50 for 2-minutes of your time – it probably is.
One show listener received an offer to earn $2,500 a month working from home doing assignments. To verify it was a scam, I filled out an application and submitted a picture of my cat as my profile picture. And I got hired! – Scott
Do you remember signing up? Scammers might use LinkedIn or other social media sites to use your personal information to approach you. If you don’t remember signing up for an offer, avoid submitting additional information.
2. Sign Up For As Many Survey Sites As You Can
Getting selected to participate in surveys is similar to becoming a mystery shopper. You never know when you’ll get selected for an opportunity. To increase your chances (and to make the most money) sign up for as many of these survey sites as you can.
All of the survey sites in this article are legitimate and are a great way to earn extra money online.
3. Be Honest
Please answer all questions carefully and thoughtfully. There are no right or wrong answers, but any attempt to speed through surveys, take the same survey more than once, may disqualify you.
Companies use the responses you provide to make business decisions. They also use your personal information to filter out which people will be selected to participate.
Being honest in your responses is always the best policy so that you can help the companies that are paying you for your time. Using inaccurate information could potentially hurt your chances of being selected in the future.
